Walk Faithfully and Be Blameless

Friday January 5, 2018 – Walk Faithfully and Be Blameless
Genesis 16-18

The following verse is from Genesis 17 and I just about skipped right past it before I recognized the message that is in this passage for all of us.   1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. 2 Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.”

God wants each of us to walk before Him faithfully and to be blameless.  The result will be the God will make a promise to increase our numbers which may mean prosperity, happiness, family size or other blessings from God.   I don’t subscribe to the prosperity notion that all who follow Christ will be rich, but I am sure that God will address all their needs.

I also wanted to include this quote from C.S. Lewis today, I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.

About familydevotions

Blessed to be married to the woman of my dreams and proud father of 4 amazing children - now young adults who are faithful Christ-followers. Together we believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ, His Son who died on the cross and rose from the dead as our Savior and in the Holy Spirit who dwells within us to be more than conquerors!
