Tuesday November 28, 2017 – The Devil Prowls Like a Roaring Lion
Ezekiel 33-34 1 Peter 5
I am certain that Satan would love to do anything in his power to ruin the lives of Christians in any way possible. There are things in my own life at this time that make this oppression very real. Disrupting families and ruining the ministry that Christians should have in the community is just a few of the ways that Satan tries to undermine the relationship that we should have with God. The scripture today from 1 Peter 5 not only reinforces that tough times should be expected, but reminds us that these sufferings are part of God’s plan to help us learn to stand firm in faith. 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
There should never be a doubt that God cares deeply about each of His children and He will restore us because He cares for us.
